The DTK- System Thermal Imaging allows to exactly define the temperature at the contact

point between panthograph and overhead line.

The diagram shows the mean, maximum, and minimum temperature, also the  standard
deviation of the temperature and the vehicle's speed.

If a cursor is set at a point of the diagram, the activeated temperature icon will display the
thermal picture for this point.

Minimum, mean and maximum temperature, standard deviation, speed, way points and position coordinates (via dGPS and gyroscope).

 
picture 2: Thermal picture of the pantograph on the roof of the vehicle. During this measurement temperatures much higher than 240°C (860°F) may be recorded.

The Thermal Imaging Systems delivers 60 measurements per second and has a resolution of 0,05 °K. This system is able to work everywhere where energy is transformed in heat, for example caused by insufficient electrical contact.
